What started out as joke, has now become a reality!!
In the fall of 2003, Jon Messarra, founder and director of S.W.A.T. Ministries, based in Athena, Georgia, approached a friend who owned a coffee roasting company and asked if he could make a blend up just for him.
You gotta know that Jon has quite an “affinity” for coffee, so he knew--we mean KNEW--what he wanted in the blend.
The blend needed to be rich, smooth and a medium to dark roast.
By December,
What happened next was the surprise. He couldn’t keep it in stock! It began selling and selling quickly.
Now, what started out as a joke is actually being used to fund S.W.A.T. (Students With A Testimony) Ministries. This ministry trains and equips students to be leaders and to grow in their relationship with Christ.
